Sara, congratulations on your win! A walk with God's creation surrounding us seems to have the power of grace to lift our spirits and bring a few moments of peace in turmoil. You have captured that experience perfectly through your blue heron. We have a nature preserve close to us and I often walk on the levee and see blue herons. Beautiful. Jennifer, Thanks for the nice review of my work. I did take a picture but I only have a camera on my phone now so it could not capture the scene at the distance in which I was seeing it, so this is a picture from the internet. It is nice that someone captured the scene that I saw so I could use it. I need the hugs and blessings. Sara

Why, thank you, Victor. They are a beautiful bird in flight. Reminds me of the idea of a tetradactyl. We have be seeing this one for several years now at the river in about the same area. He has grown from a young, smaller bird to his now adult size. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

I have a number of photos of heron catching fish - including a needlefish - on the internet. Sometimes they are like cats and just want to have fun catching the fish, but as you say, if one is hungry, it can easily fly to where the fishing is easier! Aloha!

Rico, I think the heron has more patience than most humans. He stops, holds still, watches, and gets in the attack mode, then if he doesn't get a fish, he tries again for a long period of time before he wades or flies to another location. I wonder if he goes without food very often. My concern is he/she hungry. Sara
