The Real Heroes
Many fight for this so we are not forced to
Their blood, sweat, and tears all to defend us
Now we must thank them for all that they do
Even the most simple things like riding a bus
Some people take for granted all their work
We roam free because they allow us to
We are blind as to why we must not lurk
in the shadows trying to make it through
We do not know who the real heroes are
It is not the everyday person
rather those who are not close but afar
those who left their spouses, daughter, and son
Be thankful for the soldiers we have here
and always mind those that needed a bier
