The Pond of God
We're on our own-always have been.
Hurricanes swirling
tossing devils onto our souls.
God will not save you from yourself
though lofty words will soothe.
The surge sweeping hope from the mind
far out into the bluest- blue.
We're on our own-always have been
Since the conception of time...
beings dying in the womb
god (chose) not save them from
the suction of selfish decision.
The seduction of nuclear war,
will poison the pond of a tired god.
The masses will barter dirty gold
for a goblet of clean air and time.
