Poems, right now are flowing undaunted
My fingers have trouble keeping up
Why, I wonder, does this sometimes happen
Right now I'm overflowing my cup
Fingers can't hit the old keys fast enough
So afraid I might lose the flow
At this ripe old age, my memory's kaput
My old brain has definitely slowed
For some unknown reason, I'm clicking along
Using words I didn't know I knew
Phrases only famous poets have used
D'ya really think stardom will ensue
Be assured, if I start making big bucks
You'll all still be in my thoughts
Afraid I won't be able to share my good fortune
But I'm sure you'll wish me good luck!
