The Night Has Eyes
Never be fooled
the night has eyes
not those of ghouls
no, it is I.
Wise sage am I
I walk the shadows
while bats may fly
In this window, I pose.
Unsuspecting folk
think I’m just a cat
but, I can look
like a little rat
when it’s necessary
to hide from view
you won’t see me
but I’ll see you!
