I love these!! You've got good humor in here, but some of these lines are unsettling to me, haha, maybe I am interpreting them wrong, but like "Playground No sound" followed by the "Who Gives Hugs Anymore".. It almost has a sad touch, nevertheless you keep us humored enough (maybe the word I'm thinking of is amused), as these are clever. "Each room A tomb" part stood out to me too. Great work! Always, Laura

Hey Laura. Your interpretations are sound. Yes it's true that the footle format is typically used for humor, but most of these are more on the sad side ... less people playing on the swings, or giving personal hugs etc., Glad you liked them ... perhaps this form is deceptive at times, when it comes to our expectations ... ha ha!

This I rather enjoyed, Tim. Love the lines: "You always wanted a big house - Each room a tomb". Excellent! Nicely penned. My best regards. :) john P.s A seven.

I had not seen this form before. Fascinating? And you handled it so well: the sparse rhyme and words so well chosen. "My box loves phlox." An art.

Thanks Mark for your lovely comments. I actually hosted a contest that was dedicated to these footles just a short bit ago ... it might be buried, but if you look through the Poetry Contest winners, you should find my winning footles that I chose for the contest. Cheers!

ooohhh, that one about the room was GREAT stuff. Also the playground joke was good and tuna was cute. WHy not say tuna luna? that sounds more like a moon made out of tuna. haha. Loved seeing these.

Actually I was kind of imagining astronauts ice-fishing on the moon, looking for that infamous "luna tuna", (course it's pretty nonsensical no matter how you look at it ... ha ha) ... Glad you liked my footles, as I know that you're a definite footle-fan !

Must have been a glitch on the site and was actually meant for my Dreams in the Dark poem as is this not Than-Bauk, nor a contest entry ... but thanks!
