The Long Road
The highway is lined with tall pines.
As far as the eye can see,
as far as the soul dare to take in.
God…
your land is beautiful.
The smell is like sweet perfume.
If only I could bring it back
with me…to the others.
All those trapped today,
and tomorrow,
and next week,
and every week after,
until the day you come.
My heart sends this picture.
a road lined with trees,
as far as the eye can see.
His mighty hand is upon the land.
He is near. Do not fear!
