The Little Things - A

Waking up well past dawn And find that your favorite show is on Opening the fridge looking for something to eat And satisfy your craving with the perfect treat Stirring from your sleep before you have to And snuggle in bed till your extra time is due Wearing happy socks that brighten your day And you smile at the colorful display Reaching into your supposedly empty bag of fries And finding one more, to your delighted surprise Realizing on your way home that you have ice cream And smile the rest a way with a happy gleam It’s the little things that make it worthwhile Little things in your everyday life that make you smile
