The dog days of winter

The winters 'round here are utterly bleak
The sky's been bleak gray for over four weeks
So bleak is my dog's mood
He looks bleak at his food
And in the snow he takes bleak-yellow leaks

You wrote this well Gershon, using the same word five times isn't easy. Good luck. Tom.

You are so right, Tom. It's so tough. Although it's so much easier, when one uses a short word. So, that's what I'm going to do next time. And so it goes, ala Vonnegut. Thank you so much for the feedback, Tom! So long now, Gershon

This limerick reminds me of the snowman who had his DNA tested. It came back 90 percent water, one percent snow and 9 percent dog urine. A good one for Charles' contest for sure!
