The Day Before
The sun shines bright through gray clouds with tinted edges.
Patches of blue sky can still be seen above the snow covered hill.
Where the tall pines stand tall and still.
Warmth shines on my face through the window.
As if God reached down from the clouds to comfort me this winter day.
It is where frozen snow lays all over the ground.
It is where loneliness is so easy to be found.
Along the sunken footprints I left behind yesterday and the day before.
