Image result for pictures of foggy creek rise in spring

The creek rise rolled in mixed with fog
Dampness coats shrubs and trees
Morning Doves sing through it all
Yet no sound from the bees

Another bird sings its sweet tune
Can't place its unique name
Though there are Mockingbirds in flight
And house finches almost tame

The mockingbirds are so disturbed
I wonder what the fight
Could a sneaky snake be around
Trying to take a bite

They sound like the democrats
Stirring up another round
Nothing can be done in Washington
And we pay those hounds

Another flow of thick creek rise
It's so damp and foggy here
Almost like my thinking is thick
Confused since end of year

I'm intrigued by that stanza about the democrats. Somehow it seems to be a non-sequitir to an otherwise lovely write. ~ A bit confused myself, gw

Gershon, Don't be confused. Have you ever hear a Mockingbird especially one that is in the fight mode? I had just been listening and listening on the news about this candidate said this, that senator said that, the President tweeted this and this person is hurt by what this person said so maybe you understand what the Mockingbirds sound like when in an uproar..Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I could have gone along on my peaceful path but it got your attention. Sara

Sandra, Thanks for dropping by. It is so lonely when our muse goes on vacation and doesn't take us along. I am glad you are back. Sara
