The Chorus of Dawn- Haiku Medley

World hushed in silence Birds unable to keep still… The chorus of dawn Melody of praise Chases the shroud of the night… Blessed hues of morn Dawn gives way to day The celebration of life… Is well under way Eileen Manassian Ghali

This is the form that I struggle with but you seem to have the hang of it.

Richard, I don't know if I have it down pat. I had some discussions with two Poetry Soupers about this form. Seems that there is more to it than this...I try to get the breakoff after the second line where the BAM is supposed to come it. I hope I've managed. I do stick to th 5-7-5 syllable rule so...yea...glad you liked it!

Well, I really wasn't much into haikus...and not because they are Japanese...HAHA! No...but I like them because you can say so much in so little and feel satisfied! Hugs!
