The Best Part
The best part
Today I gazed at
the rising sun
and thought back
to the mornings
we shared
Watching pastel skies
in those rose petal
and apricot swirls
that you loved
so much
Sadly realizing
the best part of
the sunrise to me
wasn’t the watching,
it was the sharing…
I miss you
