State of stupor, is our bondage
Akin to a dead man walking
Fears and desires, our soul ravage
Unaware of dark thoughts stalking
Movement is life, stagnation death
State of stupor, is our bondage
Ego cravings approach in stealth
Right from youth until our old age
We may choose to turn a new page
Never tethered to a moment
State of stupor, is our bondage
Self-blocking, divine bliss current
Attachment begets delusion
Lower mind goes on a rampage
Gift of life spent in confusion
State of stupor, is our bondage
