Tender Heart, Tender Soul

She had a tender heart, I had a tender soul, we were made for each other, when we first met. We made our plans to be married in June, as this had always been her dream to be a June bride. The way she made me feel, warmed my heart, each time I looked into her deep dark hazel eyes, my love for her grew. Her tender ways made me, so comfortable and so at ease. We expressed our love for one another many a time. The future of her by my side, is all I could see. Then in a moment of time, she was gone, taken from me, forever more. Now Fifty years later, I sit here in this lonely Hotel room thinking of what might have been. written 4-17-11

Wow! James this is very sad... the ending emotions in your poem... really moved me to think what if that happened to me... I have not found my soulmate .,, but when I do I hope we spend life together for a long time... and not have something suddenly split us apart... as tender as this poem Is... you will find her again... hugs to you.... enjoyed your poem... Linda..

Truly heartbreaking. I wasn't expecting the ending, but that was still a wonderful piece. Great job. R.M.
