You took this frozen heart, and washed away all doubt; since that day we met- you are my first thought, the reason, I smile each morning; oh, you make me so happy. You took this frozen heart and with love it healed, although, I will always love; the man who is a name engraved. You make me smile with joy, you saved me from my grief; my hero, my lover- a man I so respect and need, you understand the love buried. Together we stand and pray, at his tomb- we lay flowers and ask for his blessing; yes, you woke up my heart, and yes, I will marry you. _____________________ October 17, 2017 Verse/Take This Frozen Heart Copyright Protected, ID 950399 Written for the contest, Wake Up My Heart sponsor, Julie Leigh Rodeheaver Third Place
