Sunset Lullaby
As my eyes were closing in the sunset scene
I sang a lullaby down by the stream
Where it trickled through the mountains feet
And misted from the evenings heat
Fireflies in flight in air
Mayflies hatching everywhere
The moon man comes his face is white
He shows it off in the darkest night
Where the stars twinkle way up high
One by one they catch my eye
Crickets chirping under stones
Chirping out their loudest tones
Spiders, ants and other pests
How am I to get some rest
When my eyes try to close, in the sunset scene
Singing lullaby's down by the stream
