Summer Gone
Summer Gone
Come and open those sad, blue eyes
Look at the peace in the birth of the morning,
While summer softly slips away
With the passing stars of night
Yet into this quiet daylight strays
Then creeps as a voiceless youth from day,
Like the silent sound we disregard
When we listen to the gentle wind
For the sun outsets its early light,
And time eludes us, escapes from our sight,
As the summer wind now gone too soon
Bringing the falling leaves of autumn
To Bella from Mark.
