Summer Afternoon
The trees dance in the sunshine
Waves of green move all around
Flowers bloom in many places
There is so much color to be found
Shadows are seen with delicate design
Wild animals scurry across the ground
Hummingbirds hover, chirping in the air
Then, they leave me without a sound
This summer afternoon is so sweet
The air is fresh, the skies are clear
Miles of beauty spread everywhere
As nature evolves, this peace is near
Then it settles deep within me
Time filled with soft scenes in my mind
My heart filled with love to release
This summer afternoon, in a season to unwind
