Staying Ready *

What if the rapture should occur this day,
Would you be caught up or one left behind.
For the rocks to fall would you begin to pray,
Because your life with Jesus was not aligned;
Salvation was free but you ignored his voice,
A lake of fire and eternal torment is pending.
God made opportunity, extending you a choice,
By ignoring Jesus your soul won’t be ascending.
If weighed and found wanting on judgment day,
You’ll look into heaven from your place beneath.
Grappling with the eternal price you must pay,
From your place of torment is gnashing of teeth.
* “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life
Was cast into the lake of fire.”
