Standing Strong
As the seasons change,
I think of all the changes in life
From the growth of a flower
To the loss when it dies
To the changes of color
As weather takes us from,
Warm to cold and back again
To lessons I have learned,
From things I have tried
The healing from pain,
When there is heartbreak
Strength gained by release,
Of turbulent emotions
Stripped bare like trees in winter
Standing strong, roots spreading
Grounded in the seasons of change
