Stage Flight
The stage is set
call it primal epic
Tim has not entered
he just happens
to be there or not
‘Is there an audience?’
On impulse he covers
one eye with a dark
well-worn bandana
‘Who am I? Now?’
Clearly a pirate
‘I see your skull
bones and transgression
the mutiny and stealing
what has never been yours’
‘I’m only resting my vision’
The head band slips a hook
appears out of somewhere
covers both orbital orbs
Blindfolded he equals his sight
‘I cannot see you any longer
can you still see me?’
‘Of course we can
it is you who is in the dark
what a clown what silly a question’
‘Are you sure you can view me
to be fair I doubt that you notice’
Black is white and white is black
‘Is it just an illusion and am I so?’
No curtain falls and Tim disappears
