Special Wow

Mimicking kittens’ “meow” and puppies’ “bow-wow” He delights us with his witty quirks, remarkably wow. Midst bed room of stuffed toys, there he prays Along his supplication-gestures of worship’s praise. Bound in his mobile wheel chair … he roams with ease Shaking hands with people, sharing gladness’ peace. In sign language, he manifests earnest compassion-care Defying gloom of embittered disability-despair. How special am I to have been entrusted with this bliss-filled child Blessing me with God’s love* freely-expressed, graciously-styled.
*2Corinthians 13:11 …The God of love and peace shall be with you. August 23, 2019 Edited on March 25, 2020 Honorable Mention, "STRAND CHOICE Q,any theme any form" Poetry Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand; judged on 3/26/2020.

This is a touching piece. We never know what blessings await us. What some view as curses can turn out to be our greatest blessings. Hugs Rick.
