Nature's Tranquility
When city life morphs into a cacophony of noises,
splintered sounds lodge deep within my psyche.
Anxiety overshadows reality, at the edge of tears,
and I just know I have to get away!
When my psyche needs to recuperate
I inevitably turn to Nature's tranquility
to off-balance the hustle and bustle of downtown.
I love people, but sometimes, I need to be alone with my thoughts
and listen to Nature speak to me in whispered sounds of silence.
Leaving technology behind, I like to go tenting in my favorite spot,
a place of quietude, introspection, dreams, and solitude,
serenaded by the murmurings of a babbling brook.
At night, the stars and moonlight bathe me in celestial light
and I feel exhilarated, intoxicated, refreshed, and clean!
Nature embraces me in the form of personal spirituality,
penetrating every cell of my being with an orgasmic feeling.
And my body releases dopamine to numb my mental hurts,
leaving me at peace, feeling one with the universe.
