To know you're ill is start of living Forgive whatever pains exist Let silence be your friend Loneliness will be foreign. You will see with spiritual eyes Then venture far beyond norm of nook You'll hear a pin fall Bird songs will seep from afar Just like a piano melody that floats on thin air. You will feel your ill soul nudging you awake Asking you to hug that childlike spirit Transparent as conscience willing to heed itself You will want to embrace taste of yesteryear This, my friend, will bring gush of healing All things work together for good... You will smell spring blossoming even in winter. One miraculous mechanism within It speaks softly Be of good cheer. *

Not sure why it is, Iris, but I always tend to be super analytical when I read a poem. It makes poetry reading more enjoyable for me. Happy you appreciate it (so I guess it's a win-win situation) ... :)

So many stellar lines in this. "To know you're ill is the start of living" ... "Just like a piano melody that floats on thin air" being a player myself, I appreciate this image, and its meaning. Your poem was cozy and reflective. I think there's something really special in being able to be by yourself without feeling lonely ... like Silent says below me, solitude is brilliant (and not many can find comfort in their own company ... they get antsy, wanting to be around lots of people) ... long story short. Excellent poem!
