Softly Spoken
Softly spoken, whispers glisten
'pon this winter's eve so clear
Who am I to stand and listen,
seeking words I long to hear
Neath a sky of starlight glowing,
patiently I wait the sound
Bound of dreams, my heartbeat slowing
As a voice this night is found
Chilled, the wind now sings affection,
lyrics bring my face a smile
Illumined by the moon's reflection,
melodies in shimmered style
Floating now in sonnets calling,
up above the world so free
Knowing soon I will be falling,
where her love it waits for me
