Softly Spoken

Softly spoken, whispers glisten 'pon this winter's eve so clear Who am I to stand and listen, seeking words I long to hear Neath a sky of starlight glowing, patiently I wait the sound Bound of dreams, my heartbeat slowing As a voice this night is found Chilled, the wind now sings affection, lyrics bring my face a smile Illumined by the moon's reflection, melodies in shimmered style Floating now in sonnets calling, up above the world so free Knowing soon I will be falling, where her love it waits for me

Oh, ew la la, I have to do it, 'tis the only thing to do, I must give you a WOW (remember, I once told you I'd love to collect poem Wows in jar as they are my favorite response?) This is one of your many poems that makes me believe you are an old soul, a very deep soul. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

A pure romantic delight this fine poem be, Chris. Love to see you back at it ... though not at your fabled prolific rate. I feel you in that regard. Mighty fine poem, my dear friend. Love and best wishes for the new year.

There are so many ladies who would swoon over a love poem like this, but not too many fellows who can write a poem like this! Romantic and so very lovely Chris! : )
