So Long
If I gave you the sun, could I keep the moon
Do you prefer spring or a summer's June
If I sail the ocean blue and crashed upon a distant shore
Would you ever miss me or am I easy for you to ignore
Are friends forever or do friendships lapse
Do mountains stand eternal or will they eventual collapse
If a river runs dry will tears make it run again
If I shouted your name outside, would you hear me in the wind
Floating from a fall, spiraling to the sound
Without your hand to pull me up do I plunge and drown
Never say goodbye just never again speak hello
Were we ever blood brothers or just passing fellows
I still think about you, wondering what I did wrong
It just seems too late to say so long
So long we were buddies true and true
So long, I guess I should forget you too
