Smile At the Foot of the Ladder
When you’re climbing
upon each rung,
you can’t always see
that you’ve made it;
Looking forward
you don’t always know
who’s behind you,
no matter what;
If you stumble just sit back
look up for shooting stars;
You may feel your faith tremble,
your hope, your feet could slip;
With each move you make
find light in the darkest black;
Climb a little slower,
fight a little harder;
Dance in the rain,
sing with the thunder;
Linger on the smile
at the foot of the ladder.
