Silent Prayer
Snow lays scattered on far mountain edges
Thin fog from the valley rises to greet
A rainbow's view among the rock ledges
My troubled mind and I have come to meet
Reflections from light, etch into nature
Songbird sounds echo while in graceful flight
I press my palms in prayer to confer
I realize I need nothing but sight
Alone where waterfalls pour long into streams
Nature beckons with its tranquility
To free my spirit, allow for its dreams
My soul lays down in serenity
To hear each breath taken, move out and in
My soul is free, to be healed once again
