Silence the Night
Silence The Night
Evening shadows march relentless ever deeper
Soon darkness and the cold begin to bite
Fears creep round every corner growing steeper
Tormenting dreams will soon, fill the silence of night
In her mind she's running hopelessly from danger
Pain filling every step slowing her stride
She feels the heat of breath so close behind her
So desperate to escape, find somewhere safe to hide
Silence the night
Screams with tears
Silence the night
Dreams with fears
Silence the night
Silence the night
Fingers graze now on her body ripping clothing
She struggled but he caught her in his grasp
She bears his every touch with utter loathing
Screams ripple through her tears, her breath a painful rasp
Silence the night
Screams with tears
Silence the night
Dreams with fears
Silence the night
Silence the night
Body torn and bruised her voice reduced to whisper
Shakes violently from shock at what he's done
So her dream begins to fade as daylight blisters
And she awakes at last, warmed by the morning sun
Screaming through the silence of night
Darkness holds closely until dawn
Screaming kicking yelling she'ill fight
'till sunrise when nightmares are gone
Silence the night
Screams with tears
Silence the night
Dreams with fears
Silence the night
Silence the night
