Shine On
Lime green trees, tinted orange
Shine on the edge of the woods
Woodpecker chirp, visiting suet
Happy to find the food there for them
Some leaves fallen, are stuck in a bush
The rest start to cover, summer’s grass
Change is upon us day after day
As the seasons bring beauty our way
I rest my weary arms from chores
As winter will not be far either
But as I walk through all that I do,
I keep the colors in my busy mind
It’s time to let them shine on, shine on!
