Shimmer and Sultry
Shimmer and Sunburn
It's sultry and hot, a toasty day.
But having central AC, for me,
is perfect in every way.
There are beautiful clouds that are
swimming like fish in the perfect California sky.
The ecstatic sun kissing each shimmering rose bush
.... one by one.
They will miss Mister Sun, when his work is done.
Cats and dogs, finding places to
stay cool.
Some lie near the cool, lovely aquamarine waters
at the pool.
Alas, only a human being runs in the sunburn,
hundred degree heat.
It's not the best idea, but it is his own special treat.
