Billions of dollars spent on make-up a year...how sad...my ex-wife with makeup (who seldom put it on) looked like a hooker...without it, she looked like a million dollars...great entry my friend...sending love...^WW^

Charles, good poem. There are some women with big red spots on the face, so makeup is a necessity in life. Makeup these days is nothing compared to when I grew up but still a big industry. As are far worse the addiction to 300 dollar purses and 200 shoes. A woman with no eyebrows in nasty! I wear lip gloss and eyebrow pencil these days. Some women do not have inner or outer beauty.LOL Panagiota

Beauty comes from inside, and shines on the outside. Some makeup enhances that beauty, but too much is just that. Too much. Excellent write Charlie. :) Brandy

You are absolutely right Brandy, I wrote this verse after seeing my daughter using too much make-up. But real beauty comes from the inside, like you said. :) Charlie

A clever write. I am fortunate, my sweetie wears very little makeup. She lets her natural beauty shine through.
