She Danced So Sweetly
If you’d known your
days were numbered
Would you have danced
a whole lot more
Would you have jitterbugged
& strewn yourself
Across that bopping floor
Would you have tapped
Way past midnight
Line danced everywhere
Or watched all your pals
From a soft comfy chair
Mum you loved to boogie
You did it oh so well
Swaying, and displaying
No worries did you dwell
Dancing all around the world
On special holidays
Dressing up in party clothes
Those where the days
But now your taps are shelved
Well here on earth they are
But I know your gliding everywhere
From afar, but not too far!
