She Asks the Hard Questions
Others shy away.
She asks the hard questions.
Others hold back.
She throw it out there, hard.
Others abide by social norms.
She does not recognize or use them
Even though she teaches them to children.
Others do not want to ask.
“Are you going to kill yourself?”
It is a regular part of what she does.
“Do we need to call your Mom?”
And “have you told your Mom?”
These are the hard questions.
Others hold back.
She marches right in.
Saving them
One at a time.
