Sequence

Sequence I saw the train at middle distance, It ran slow and was white, It had many window and in each One I saw my brother. He didn´t see me although he looked In my direction, but beyond me And the life he had lived before me. I think it was a spring day I saw flowers Twined together like a bouquet Near the tracks… the train disappeared Into a tunnel and when all was Quiet I heard a bird sing so sadly I thought It must have lost its nest.

Dear Jan, I love the eeriness and vividness of this poem. Flowers twined together like a bouquet near the tracks is like a death and the aftermath of the bird left behind sadly looking for his nest is how I like to look at this. Your brother oblivious as the train takes him. I love it. Kathy
