See

head upon the pillow eyes shut tight warding off the sight the scene playing through her mind tears slip from her tightly shut lids her rocks back and forth her silent sobs unheard they think she's crazy she can't let go they didn't see him die the blood squirt from his neck they didn't see the silver blade or the evil in those eyes they didn't have to hide stay safely concealed watching the life slip from his eyes the nightmares wake her ever night leave her screaming to them he never existed and her neither does her world

Nicole, there are powerful emotions in this poem. It's awful to watch someone die and have no one with whom to share the pain. Bless you, Carolyn
