Ring Ring - Ring Ring

As soon as I sit down each day with my morning coffee and toast Before I swallow the very first bite The phone rings Making me feel uptight Or having my morning shower Enjoying the warmth of the water I begin to relax and luxuriate The phone rings Doubling my heart rate As I sit relaxing with my favourite book Enjoying the peace and tranquility I wander into another world The phone rings I’m starting to come unfurled On returning home from a shopping trip Weary in need of a cuppa Inserting the key as I open my door The phone rings Stop ringing I can’t take anymore Now please do not get me wrong I won’t make a dance or a song For in the right place and at the right time a ringing phone would be perfectly fine So I know I must not whinge or whine And be grateful that they take the time For finally and at the end of the day they are really ringing just to say is ‘Are you happy; Are you okay Any chance of a sub 'till next pay day’ Written ‘tongue in cheek’ after rather a lot of phones calls 4th November 2018 Contest Brian's Choice 9 Sponsor Brian Strand 2nd PLACE
