quiet repose ...
slow rise-and-fall, hushed
tenderly rocked, rocked, rocked
my head on your breast, home again
heart thrumming tympans, soft ...
its secret mantra, should I e'er forget ...
"you're mine ... you're mine ... you're mine"
I, forsaken wreck upon your reef
what wealth hath a man
that be so sweetly ...
broken?
