Rhyme Time Iii-Death
He fell with the fading pink in the rose's bloom
That covered the painful gray of the tomb
And the stone remainder of the untimely doom
That had befallen the legendary rebel.
At his name, many would once tremble
In fear of what his hand and mind was able
But now, it seemed only tears would unravel
At the thought of his untimely demise.
Kneeling at his grave with watery eyes
Were those who were witness to his life of lies
Saying there was light in the absence of sunrise
In the prison he had built out of fear.
And from the lips of a lover, one could hear
A song, however pain-stained and unclear,
Were obviously written from the golden tear
Of a lover who was now broken much more.
More tears fell from the once titanium core
Of those who couldn't be by his side anymore
Wishing he'd someday see with pride the day before
He fell with the fading pink in the rose's bloom.
