Re-Love
Never knew what real love was
Till it happened a second time
Not with a “someone different” love
Twas the same love so sublime
Once bitten by the real thing
Forever this feeling did last
I'm so ecstatic, it just happened to me
A precious love from my past
The only true love I've ever known
The captor of my very soul
No one has managed to get inside
As she has, my life is whole
Some are obviously bound to think
“Only in books” this love
I'm living proof, it really can happen
It's possible to re-love
Now I sit here in my quiet times
And softly whisper her name
No one can hear this prayer that I utter
But to her, my voice is plain
Not with a “someone different” love
Twas the same love so sublime
