Rain, Rain

“Rain, rain, go away Come again another day” (first lines of a nursery rhyme my mother taught me) My Monday comes, but I am at home, for I got the day off. Such clamor at my door! Rain, you can pitter-patter all you want. You can’t bother me while I’m in my house warm and cozy. Rain, rain, stay the day. Here inside I play! Feb. 21, 2018 for Silent One's 'Rainy Days And Mondays' Poetry Contest (Thanks to President's Day, I really did have Monday off!)

Good one reads like a good contender for the contest. Way to go. It is in the eighties here today and looks like it will be in the seventies for several days. Early spring so it seems. I remember when we had a blizzard one March about the 11th 0r 12th or 13th in 1993. Sometimes there comes early spring and stays then sometimes winter is not finished.. Thanks for stopping by.Sara

Oh, I'm bad, don't know why my mind goes where it does; but it just went to "she gave the bird to the rain." Not gonna bother you, bother you - a very cute poem. Please don't tell your Mom about my brain travelling where it did! As I child I would chant that rhyme on rainy days. And as an adult, now that I think about it. Love ... CayCay
