Rain, Rain
“Rain, rain, go away
Come again another day” (first lines of a nursery rhyme my mother taught me)
My
Monday
comes, but I
am at home, for
I got the day off.
Such clamor at my door!
Rain, you can pitter-patter
all you want. You can’t bother me
while I’m in my house warm and cozy.
Rain, rain, stay the day. Here inside I play!

(Thanks to President's Day, I really did have Monday off!)
