Question For Poetry Soup

Hi everyone. Is anyone else having this problem? I am not getting email alerts from soup in my email when comments come to my poetry, as usual. Now, when I try to contact them....it bounces back to my email? I am also, hoping they may see this because I can't reach them. Heidi

There was an email awhile back specifying that the email providers were getting a little upset with all the emails that were going out from soup that is why the number of comments my your name on the blue bar above; If that is what you are asking.

Yes, I didn't realize what was happening before, when I hadn't seen the blog topic on it. But, I do miss having the alerts in email on my phone, so that I could respond to people quickly. I hope you are having a nice day. Blessings to you too, Jennifer :)

No, they are not sending alerts anymore about comments nor responses. Just notices about SOUPMAIL. To me it's a bummer idea. You and I have a vast amount of Poems. I am going blind in the comments inbox. Pangie xx

Hi Panagiota. Thank you for the soup mail. Yes, it is a change from how we are used to doing things. Yes, we have many poems. I actually just got confused, when I came to my inbox, for the first time, this morning . I hope your day goes well :)

Perhaps it would be better to find a different Internet service that is willing and able to handle the e-mail notification that we all enjoy.

Thank you Richard. Yes, I miss the notifications on my phone as comments came in. I hope all is well for you too. All is ok here. I went to go for 1st sleigh ride south of here yesterday. It turned into horses pulling a buggy, with less snow in that area :)

Hi Heidi, Soup has stop sending them due to the internet provider saying too many emails. Now soup sends a little icon informing you of new comments. However, they don't always appear. Maybe because it's a new feature. I hope this helps. Have a great day. I hope your New Year is going good thus far:-) Alexis

Internet service providers do not like PoetrySoup because we send too many emails. As a result, we will no longer be notifying you via email when you receive comments on poems. Instead, we are working on a notification icon at the top of each PoetrySoup page that indicates if you have a new comment and how many new comments you have received since you've visited your Comments Inbox. We are working out some of the performance bugs, but it is operational now. (FROM THEIR BLOG)

Tom. PS never said that. Email accounts are for email. I don't like an empty email box. Sounds like PS can't get their act together to me. Don't blame my email account. Blame them for not getting one to be of service to us. The inbox sucks. The icon plays hide and seek. I told you I miss replying under this new method! Those with perfect vision, the inbox maybe great. Not for me...Granny Pangie

It also appears, trying to contact them does not work. It immediately bounces back to my email.

Hi Heidi, They've stopped the email alerts now, you should see a little green indicator at the top of the page telling you that you have comments. They put the info on a blog, I'd prefer emails to what they've got now though. Tom
