Queen Elizabeth ll
With dignity she wears the crown of fame
Whose eminence she never would have sought,
Yet providence established her acclaim
And future plans by duty’s cast were wrought.
Forever circumspective in her ways
She guards her words with diplomatic skill,
Compliant and determined all her days
Her oath to God and country to fulfil. *
From far and wide so many folk express
Their tribute to her long, distinguished reign.
Commending such resolve and faithfulness
Which even now in golden years remain.
Through stormy seas and stages of unrest
She’s been the constant figure at the helm.
For decades by her presence we’ve been blessed:
Elizabeth, dear monarch of our realm.
