Prey In the Night

Looming between the nights I shiver In too deep with the frost that I bring Humming too music that was given Dancing to save the days I forgot Along came the secrets that pierce the skin I forgive the damage I cost to myself Shredded pride amongst my feet Stepping over the remorse of humility That I threw to the ground and turned my back Over the water tried to walk with grace Even if I believed in the force that would take me I feel the liquid rushing around me Summon the strength to break the surface It seems I only breath when there is no air Crawling to safety where I know it despised me So I lay on the sand until the moon lights I walk only the night I see only the fire Waiting for the darkness To wash out my face To be nocturnal But I am woken in the day
