Prelude
We were slow dancing
enjoying the romancing
In a sensual, subtle prelude
I was being wooed,
By the cravings in his fervid eyes
I became hypnotized.
With intense, amorous flirting
he was asserting.
Glances sparked by an ember.
Oh, yes, I remember
the yearning heat of a fire...
the need and desire.
The overture to passion
in breathless fashion.
Whispers in the moonlight
Seduction by candle light.
Shadows dancing on the wall
bodies rise and fall.
Sated by love and yearning
smoldering and burning.
Two hearts beating as one
The night, not yet done
