I placed my little hands in a prayer position In my young fervor mind, I called Papa Jesus' loving attention Knelt on bed with mom and dad, we sang our spiritual song And prayed that I’ll grow in this world like flower that blooms. I thanked Papa Jesus for my mom and dad Who always took care of me... gave their best not to make me sad I thanked Him for the world we live in For the beautiful nature nurtured by the sun, wind and rain. I thanked Papa Jesus for giving us a home My mom and dad’s job which provided us drinks and foods I thanked Him for all His graces and the church we go Which will always keep us in His ways and forever grow. I prayed to Papa Jesus to fully bless my childhood That I may grow in His love, serve Him through others in my adulthood That I may grow with patience, kindness and loving care Like mom and dad who always think of me… so good, so dear. I prayed that my life will give my parents’ happiness To compensate their great sacrifices in huge differences I prayed that my simple dreams or wish will be a success And to always protect us from all dangers and sickness. A beautiful expression of your love for both your parents, and your saviour. I have just returned from your wonderful home. I would like to say that I lost some weight while I was there, due to the heat and the sweating, but all those good curries. My wife, and my mother-inlaw certainly know my taste buds. Two weeks spent in Chiang Mai, Phayao, and a brief visit to Cha-am. Did I get close to you at all? I'll be back for Songkran next year.

Thank you so much for your very inspiring and encouraging words my very dear friend, Scott! BTW, Is this your real name? So you came back home here in Thailand. Curries are really good but I don't like them with too much chili. :))) It's really too hot here now (whew!) especially here in BKK/City proper where I live. I'm sure it is colder in provinces especially at Chiang Mai. I've not been there yet coz it's too far but I've already been to Cha-am before. Looking forward for your coming back. Pls. keep in touch. Many hugs!

Leonora, must reading the note you left me here. There is a name for the parents you had and the type of child you were. "born of goodly parents" That was you and me both!

Hello my very dear friend, Andrea. Im so happy to say, my mom and dad had more time for me when I was with them during my childhood days and they taught me how to pray. I can still clearly remember when mom and dad taught me to pray and sing a very beautiful child's religious/prayer song in our own dialect, Like a Flower That Blooms. I always sang it not only on prayer time but also on rainy days. They always brought me also to a Sunday school and Daily Vacation Church Schools DVCS.
