POET’S DOZEN - OUTCAST FATE
jacaranda trees in bloom,
you and I, in spring.
With spring my ecstacy blossomed into a sense of pride,
as together in formal elegance, side by side we stride.
In fulfillment of the far-off depths of my lifelong dream,
hidden are the endless days of longing, years of yearning.
Love lost in time for promise of desire
with emptiness to shadow my first date,
as your heart did not feel my sacred fire.
Abashed in silence I curse my fate,
as I cry alone in my outcast state.
