Poetry and Troubled Souls
Many are the troubled souls,
That have been eased,
When a book of poems has found its way into mortal hands,
Directed by a will that is open to look for and find,
That one poem that speaks to them, and them alone
Crying out to them, in their suffering and pain.
A poem powerful enough,
To give meaning to a life that was once worthless,
And carry them past the bad times.
A poem that writes itself upon the heart for as long as it beats,
That attaches itself to the very soul,
Becoming the focal point for all future transactions,
And colours one's world for the better,
Giving Hope and Love, a better than an even chance.
