A double-verse Rispetto
She ate delicious candy's crown
but only munched a bite or two.
She stuffed the other portion down
into a pocket of her shoe—
for future day—a tasty treat
when hunger begs for treasure sweet.
One winter day, impulse returns
as in her car the heater burns.
Intent is she on traffic space
and settles it upon the dash
but heater promptly wins the race,
consumes her treasure like a flash,
emits a tantalizing scent,
and floods her nose direct from vent.
Like siren call, it tempts her brain
to purchase Hershey's bar again.
